sega and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) officially announced a new collaboration starring Sonic the Hedgehog, marking the return of the emblematic blue hedgehog to the Olympic field. Although for now the development of any video game has not been confirmed, the agreement opens the door to future productions and official products that could rejoin Sonic with the Olympic Games. This as it happened in the past with the popular saga Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games.

Finally, the third image brings together Sonic, Tails, Shadow, Amy Rose and Knuckles In solid tones on the motto “Olympic Dream” (“Olympic dream”).

According to Sega and the IOC, these images will serve as the basis for a Officially licensed product line. They will include collectibles, clothing and accessories inspired by the values of Olympism and the universe of Sonic the Hedgehog. The purpose of this alliance is Encourage the spirit of improvement, the positive energy and the passion for sport among the new generations, taking advantage of the enormous world popularity of the character.
