Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem It will be a return to the main narrative thread of the franchise. Producer Masato Kumazawa, in an interview published on the official PlayStation blog, explained that this new title has been conceived as A celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise. Its release date is scheduled for the February 27, 2026.
“With Resident Evil Requiem We wanted to go back to a story that would continue with the general narrative of the series, rooted in Raccoon City and in the secret machinations of the Umbrella Corporation”, said Kumazawa. “We believe that, by celebrating this anniversary, Raccoon City is the most suitable scenario.”
