Despite not understanding much of fleeting romances between teenagers, Kazuhiko Nukumizu, a first-year high school student, continues to wonder how she would react if her life became a love story. In spite of everything, as a self-proclaimed “background character”, Nukumizu is content to continue his life as an introvert with an insignificant social life.
However, she suddenly finds herself too close to the spotlights when she witnesses how her popular classmate Anna Yanami is rejected by her childhood friend in the middle of a family restaurant. Although Nukumizu wishes she could forget what she has seen and move on, Anna ends up entrusting to Nukumizu by force, lamenting her status as a childhood friend condemned to be robbed from her beloved.
