DANDATE was created by Yukinobu Tatsu and began its publication in April 2021 in Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ magazine. His visual style is notable for the fluidity of the drawing, extreme expressiveness and intense action scenes. The manga quickly gained popularity and was nominated for several awards, including the Next Manga Awards. In 2024, an anime adaptation produced by Science Saru was announced, with a premiere scheduled for October 2024. Its genre combines action, comedy, romance and supernatural elements, with influences from both Japanese folklore and science fiction.
