After nine months of intense collaboration and more than 700 proposals, Nothing has presented today the Phone (3a) Community Edition. This device is the culmination of an ambitious co-creation project that redefines how technological products are manufactured, inviting the global community of fans not only to give feedbackbut to actively design the hardware, , software and MARKETING of the product.
The Community Edition initiative, which has already won a prestigious iF Design Gold Award in its 2024 edition, seeks to discover and enhance emerging creative talent, giving them a unique platform to collaborate with a global technology company.
From concept to reality: the creators behind the (3a)

The 2025 edition attracted a record number of more than 700 proposals in key categories, evidencing the desire for deeper collaboration between brands and creators. The four winners, selected by their originality And the ability to boost Nothing’s design language are:
- Emre Kayganacl (Hardware and packaging design)
- Ambrogio Tacconi and Louis Aymond (accessories)
- Jad Zock (Clock design and wallpaper for lock screen)
- Sushruta Sarkar (Marketing Campaign)
These talents worked side by side with the Nothing teams in London, transforming their concepts into production-ready jobs. Nothing perfected the process this year by offering summaries simultaneously, more time for participants, and a £1,000 cash prize per category to support creators.

Product Details: Nostalgia and Minimalism

The Phone (3a) Community Edition is a bold and nostalgic design exploration:
- Hardware design (Emre Kayganacl): Inspired by the technological aesthetic of the late 90s and early 2000s. The design uses bold colors and reminiscent of toys of yesteryear, maintaining Nothing’s futuristic identity.
- “Says” accessory (Ambrogio Tacconi and Louis Aymond): In a new category for 2025, the Dice (dice) accessory uses Nothing’s NDOT 55 font to merge the global symbol of the game with the brand’s precise technological identity.
- Software Design (Jad Zock): The winning element is a custom watch face that reduces visual clutter and intuitively guides the look. It also includes an exclusive wallpaper available in blue and purple versions.
The Marketing campaign Winner, titled “Made Together” (Made together), celebrates the collaboration process itself, highlighting Nothing’s essence of “making technology fun to inspire human creativity.”
Beyond the product: building the future together

This initiative is part of a broader model of community participation in Nothing. In addition to the Community Edition, the company has a Community Board Observer Chosen by the fans who bring the community perspective to the meetings of the Board of Directors.
In line with this vision, Nothing has opened a new round of community investment of $5 million With a valuation of $1.3 billion in the C Series. This investment allows followers to invest at the same price per share as institutional investors. Reinforcing the belief that the next era of personal technology must be shaped by the people who use it.
