Three demos from the GazettE are now available to stream on their official website, complete with lyrics. The songs are unfinished and were released following the hospitalization of vocalist RUKI, who lost consciousness on September 23, 2026, during a difficult period for the band. JROCK NEWS was the first to report the release.
What’s in the GazettE demos
The three pieces are Koe (声), Gudon no Sakura (愚鈍の桜) and Itan (Ring). The selection was made at the request of the members themselves and comes from an album that was still in production, according to information published by JROCK NEWS. No title or release date has been confirmed for that album.

The demos will remain on the official website for a limited time. The band hasn’t indicated when they will be removed or if they will later be made available on streaming platforms, so for now, the only confirmed access is through their own website.
According to JROCK NEWS, the lyrics reveal a long-held emotion. The publication highlights two verses in English from Koe that point in that direction:
«I had no choice but to say I was okay / I couldn’t find a way to save myself»
And towards the end of the song, another line appears that the media underlines: \”I rose up, and let my voice sing again.\”
The idea was born during hospitalization
In a personal statement, RUKI explained that the idea to release these three demos arose while he was hospitalized, at a time when his condition had deteriorated significantly. His primary concern was finding a way to get the music they were working on to their fans.

He also spoke of pride: under normal circumstances, he wouldn’t want anyone to hear something that hadn’t reached a perfect state. But when he seriously considered that he might never again be able to share what he wanted to express through his music, he realized how much he would regret it.
With the help of the rest of the members, he poured his feelings into the recordings and, still recovering, shaped them into demos to share with fans as much as he could.
A difficult period that has been brewing for a long time
Bassist Reita passed away in April 2024, and that was the starting point of a complicated period, with an emotional burden that affected the group’s activity and publishing plans.

In March 2025 the band presented the project THE WINTER with promotional material that included the crossed-out text: \”2024 RELEASE NEW ALBUM\”. It was never explicitly confirmed that THE WINTER It was an album and there was no concrete release announcement.
In March 2026, guitarist Aoi’s departure was announced. The remaining members indicated that previously scheduled releases would be reviewed. Aoi, for his part, maintained that he left voluntarily in September 2025 and denied the accusations against him.
The mental load that KAI described
Drummer KAI spoke in September 2026 about the strain the members had endured in previous years, a burden that significantly limited their ability to continue producing music and maintaining the band’s activity. According to his account, RUKI faced these difficulties with particularly unwavering determination until his condition deteriorated and he collapsed.
No album release date yet
In his latest update on X, RUKI noted that his condition is gradually improving as he continues his recovery. There are no details yet about the album from which the three demos are taken, nor about what will happen to the pending releases.
The only thing confirmed is the temporary availability of Koe, Gudon no Sakura and Itan on the official website. Three unfinished songs that serve as the GazettE’s response to their fans during one of the toughest moments of their career.
